The ABEEK (Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea)
The ABEEK(Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea) is a system to train people of a excellent engineer with creative engineering practice skills. As applying continually a need of students and industries in curriculum of the College of Engineering, the engineer who graduates with the ABEEK is responsible for the engineering practice and ready for further guarantee anywhere in the world as a professional engineer accreditation is established by the system.
The United States has been conducted in the name of ABET, and Korea established the ABEEK in 1999 and it was introduced. Chungbuk National University in the 2006 school year new students has been processing of the ABEEK system. Educational content and curriculum in the ABEEK have many differences with the current system, and after graduation to easily adapt in practical areas major deepening of education, as well as mathematics/ physics/chemistry and the strengthening of basic science education, computer and the method to use the latest engineering programs, law/entrepreneurship/economic/communication skills, and experiments and creative practical designs will focus on.
The College of Engineering , excepting Department of Architectural Engineering(Architecture certification held) and Department of Urban Engineering, the College of Electronical and Computer Engineering, the College of Agriculture, life and environment Science have conducted training in the ABEEK.
